Urge Condoleezza Rice to promote human rights at UN Summit

From Amnesty International:
-----
We urgently need your help to urge the United States delegation to promote human rights at the United Nations Summit taking place in New York from September 14 to 16.

This Summit is expected to adopt an "Outcome Document" detailing actions governments commit to take in the area of human rights, development and security. Yet, the effects of the efforts of Ambassador Bolton and the U.S. delegation to obtain a wholesale rewrite of the draft "Outcome Document" have seriously imperiled the likelihood of achieving a Summit decision to establish a much needed strong and effective Human Rights Council.

Contact Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to urge her to ensure the U.S. delegation plays a constructive role in bringing about a world consensus that strengthens and promotes human rights.
