Can the president order the killing of terror suspects on U.S. soil?

Oh my freaking god!

Did you think it couldn't get worse?

Did you think that the Bushite atrocities reached critical mass with Dubya's arbitrary detention of terror suspects and illegal warrantless spying on us?

Well, guess what: It could actually get a whole lot worse.

In the latest twist in the debate over presidential powers, a Justice Department official suggested that in certain circumstances, the president might have the power to order the killing of terrorist suspects inside the United States.
