Cheney pulls a Nixon: Possible Plame-related e-mails deleted against White House policy

Remember Plategate?

Maybe these guys felt that it's fine to out a CIA agent and thereby blow the cover of all of her associates because, after all, they've got their own spy thing going on.

From a New York Daily News article as quoted and analyzed in Talking Points Memo:

[Special Prosecutor Patrick] Fitzgerald ... said ... that many e-mails from Cheney's office at the time of the Plame leak in 2003 have been deleted contrary to White House policy.

I'll bet those deleted e-mails contained some pretty interesting content.
