Troy Davis sits on Georgia's death row despite compelling evidence of his innocence. He had been scheduled to die last Tuesday, September 23rd, but the Supreme Court intervened two hours before his scheduled execution and agreed to meet on Monday, September 29th, to determine whether or not to hear Davis's appeal. So the execution was stayed pending the high court's decision.According to the latest reports, the Supremes are currently deliberating on the case and will issue a decision by Monday, October 6th.
